Life of a college athlete
Be careful who you recieve gifts from
Having a child while in school and playing a sport
This is a very close topic to me because I have teammates who are like my brothers and deal with this specific subject. One of them struggle with seeing their child and another visits as much as he can because the baby is right in Cleveland. But I asked them both about if its easy to adjust to having a baby that is theirs and they have to take care of whats theirs. My roommate is the one who really struggles with seeing his child due to distance. I asked them if it has affected their play on the football field and as I observed it hasn't affected them very much but they do sometimes miss practices because their baby is ill and things like that but they have not missed a lot. My teammates/brothers are really brave and it basically just showed and taught me that whatever decision you make you have to be accountable for them.

Injuries
Injuries happen in every sport and it can affect some people's career depending on how serious the injury is. If you get injured it is mandatory that you go to the training room as much as you can so you can show that you are working on getting better. I know plenty of people who got injured and was never able tp play football ever again. But do to NCAA rules there scholarship is valid for 4 years. So what they do at Mercyhurst the injured film practice and do other things to make it seem like they are doing something for their scholarship.
